Opening statement (Positive 1) : Sir Francis Bacon in fact, wrote the plays supposedly written by William Shakespeare and there has been many facts that show that is true. There is not evidence supporting that Shakespeare even had an education at all, where as Bacon was proven to go to grade school and some sort of higher level high school.

Opening statement(Negative 1): There are many reasons why Sir Francis Bacon did not write the works of William Shakespeare like all the other people that may have written the works.

Opening statement(Negative 2) A reason that Sir Francis Bacon did not write the plays is the fact that the plays were signed William Shakespeare

Opening Statement(Positive 2): I agree with Jordan. If you look at the calender I posted on the discussions page, it really gets you thinking about who really wrote the plays.

Essay(Negative 2):
Sir Francis Bacon did not write the plays of William Shakespeare. There is much evidence that he did not write them, but three points stand out the most. One, the plays were signed William Shakespeare. Two, there are many other candidates that could have written the plays, not just Francis Bacon. Three, characters in De Vere’s plays resemble many of those in Shakespeare’s plays.
One reason that Sir Francis Bacon did not write the plays is that they were all signed William Shakespeare. If Francis Bacon really was the author, why wouldn’t he have signed them with his name. If he knew he was writing masterpieces, why wouldn’t he want to take credit? Even if he wanted to protect himself, he could have left behind evidence that he wrote them.
The second reason that Sir Francis Bacon did not write the plays is that there are a bunch of other candidates for who could have written them. They include: Christopher Marlowe, Edward De Vere (Earl of Oxford), William Stanley (Earl of Derby), Roger Manners (Earl of Ruthland), and obviously, Sir Francis Bacon. Due to the fact that there is so much evidence surrounding everyone else other than Francis Bacon, there is no way to conclude that Sir Francis Bacon wrote the plays.
The third and final reason that Sir Francis Bacon did not write the plays is that some characters in Shakespeare’s plays resemble those of some of De Vere’s plays. This is clear evidence that Shakespeare’s plays have a possibility of being written by De Vere, not Bacon. This is important because it leads people to believe that De Vere wrote the plays. Since De Vere was a playwright himself, it would make sense that he would use some of the same characters.
In conclusion, Sir Francis Bacon did not write the plays of William Shakespeare. Due to the facts that the plays were signed William Shakespeare, many other candidates are claimed to have written them, and some of the characters resemble those of De Vere’s works. If Sir Francis Bacon actually had written the plays, then why did this debate only start up not too long ago, and he would have left behind at least some evidence to lead people to believe that he actually wrote the plays.

Positive 2 Essay:If you look at the calendar posted on the discussions page, it really gets you thinking about who really wrote the plays. Francis Bacon has many facts about him that seem like good enough proof saying that he wrote the plays.
First off, in the play Love’s Labour’s Lost, a play by William Shakespeare there is a word called “honorificabilitudinitatibus,” which is an anagram of Hi ludi F. Baconis nati tuiti orbi. This anagram translates into “These plays, the offspring of F. Bacon, are preserved for the world.” Clearly, this anagram states that Bacon had something to do with the writing of Shakespeare’s works.
Secondly, on our discussions page on Wikispace, I added a calendar to the page. This calendar is a calendar of years, showing the years the plays were published compared to the life spans of De Vere, Marlowe, Bacon, and Shakespeare. Francis Bacon’s life span was the only one who lived to 1626, the year when no more plays were written. All of the other supposed writers died before the 1617, except Bacon.
Third, according to the Bacon Society, Bacon lives about 30 miles north of London near St. Albans, a town named fifteen times in the works of Shakespeare. However, Shakepeare’s hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon, was never mentioned in any plays or sonnets.
Also, all of Shakespeare’s belongings were listed on his three-page will, without mention of any types of books, plays, or poems. If they were handed down to someone in the family, the manuscripts surely would have been passed down from generation or generation.
All in all, Bacon’s education and his skills as a writer are good facts to know when thinking about who really wrote the Shakespeare plays. Francis Bacon had all the right tools to write glorious plays and sonnets, but did not want to get in trouble so he used the name William Shakespeare to cover for his writings.

Negative 1 Essay

There are many reasons why Sir Francis Bacon did not write the works of William Shakespeare like all the other people that may have written the works. The next three paragraphs will be supporting reasons why he did not write the plays.
The first reason is that William Shakespeare’s name is written on all the plays and sonnets found. Since his name is signed on all of the works it is likely to believe that he was the writer of the works.

(Essay, Positive 1)
Sir Francis Bacon, in fact, wrote the famous plays supposedly written by William Shakespeare. There is evidence that shows that this proposal is correct. For instance, there was no evidence that Shakespeare had an education or that he ever went to school. Another fact is that Shakespeare didn’t have any books or manuscripts left behind after his death in his will. Finally, some plays have stated that the author was “Francis William Shakespeare,” making it clear that Bacon had some part in the creation of these famous works.
Evidence that Shakespeare went to school is not clear and does not exist. But on the other hand, Bacon entered Trinity College, Cambridge, on April 5, 1573 at the age of twelve (more like a high academic high school). Bacon was a very smart man and was well educated throughout his life, proving that he had the brains to write all of the plays/works. Bacon was also a very famous English philosopher, statesman, and author of his time.
Secondly, Shakespeare did not leave any traces of books, manuscripts, plays, or sonnets behind after his death. Also, nothing was found in his home in Stratford upon Avon.
One more point is that some of the plays were signed “Francis William Shakespeare,” suggesting that Bacon had some say in the writing of the plays. It could be possible that Shakespeare threatened the life of Bacon and forced him to write the plays and sign in Shakespeare’s name.
In conclusion, Francis Bacon wrote the famous plays. Evidence supports this to the fullest and shows that Shakespeare was a fraud. Now, no one knows for sure, but the odds are greatly against our main man Shakespeare and mostly point to Bacon being the true author of the plays.
